Appunto

Notepad - clock

A project of Filippo Mambretti

Appunto combines two different functions in a single object: a clock and a handy notepad. Rather than writing notes on the wooden surface of the clock – reminders of special events or day-to-day things to do – it’s better to use the sheets of the notepad, which can then be torn off and kept for future reference or slipped into your pocket. Perhaps you need to remember your mother’s birthday or take your shopping list when you go out.

Technique: the base and the clock face are in wood, joined using a simple 2D joint to a note-pad for which replacement pads are available.

Dimensions: 39cm x 39cm. Thickness 2cm, diameter of dial 15cm.

Filippo Mambretti

While studying at art school in Cantù, Mambretti met Bruno Munari, and together they developed their passion for creative design. After completing post-graduate studies in “Furniture Design” at the faculty of Industrial Design at the Polytechnic University in Milan, he began to work with a number of design studios. In 2008 he joined forces with two partners to found MakiStyle, but left in 2010 to set up Mambrò Design Studio in Chiasso (Switzerland). Mambretti teaches design, and has participated in (and won) numerous design competitions. Today he works with several Italian and international design studios.
